GUILDERY LAUNCH: MARATHI COLLECTION
I first began designing for Guildery in the beginning of 2015 and was so excited to start creating prints for interior fabrics. The site is a great place for textile designers and interior designers to come together and create products and collections for every type of space. Home textile design was what started my career as a print designer and working with Guildery has been the perfect opportunity to design for some wonderful people and see my artwork come to life.
My newest collection, Marathi, just launched today as a Trunkshow Collection. I created this collection inspired by the woodblock prints from Jaipur and intricate Indian embroideries and dyes. The beauty of Indian handcraft and culture will always amaze me and I wanted to create a collection in which my own painting style met the motifs of traditional Indian textiles. The balance of intricate details and open space were important as well as enhancing the netural palette with pops of color, making them easy to mix and match.
